The world of crystals is colourful, sparkly, shimmery, historical, magical, wonderful...and utterly overwhelming when you first start.
Can you just pick an random rock from a bin of polished treasures? How (and why and when) do you cleanse a crystal? Do the different shapes mean anything? And wait, what is charging? Is that different from cleansing? How do you do THAT? And once you've got your handful of pretty things picked out and cleansed...how can you work with them? Which of these dozens of crystal books have the kind of information you want?
After reading several beginner crystal books, websites, and blogs, Megan from Tizzy's Treasures got frustrated by the gaps of information presented to new crystal enthusiasts, and worried that people would unwittingly work with their crystals in a way that damages them.
By combining her loves of history, mythology, science, and all things shiny, Megan teaches all about where to start working with crystals, including:
- Different ways to choose crystals, and why you might find each one useful
- The difference between cleansing, charging, and programming
- A variety of ways to cleanse crystals (or any other magical items) that is safe for ALL stones and metals
- Examples of charging and programming
- Ways you can incorporate crystals into whatever sort of magical life you lead
Whether you're hesitant to start working with crystals because you don't know where to start, or you've been picking up tips from all over, or working intuitively, you'll get a solid base of information on how to choose, care for, and work with your crystals in ways that will preserve their beauty.
All attendees will receive a folder of handouts of the class material, and a list of recommended books, websites, and trusted online crystal sellers.
(Note: This class was previously called Crystal Basics; if you have taken that class in the past, this one will be very similar.)
