About this event

Classes at the 1909 Culinary Academy combine a hands-on cooking experience with delicious tasting experiences.

Basil is a tender plant that is realitively easy to grow. Aromatic and full of flavour it is featured in cuisines around the world.

What's on our menu?
We'll make a batch of fresh pesto from scratch and then use it on our Pesto Flatbread. We'll also make a sundried tomato and basil cornbread that is delicious as a side to all your summer BBQ favourites. For dessert we will finish off with a Strawberry Lime Basil Shortcake with homemade ice cream.

Sometimes we have leftovers. Please bring your own reusable containers and water bottle to help us reduce the use of single use plastics.
